Zelder and Randell Dukes lived next door to each when they were children. Randell's sister was Zelder's best friend. The best friend played matchmaker and it worked! Besides, who would not want their best friend as their sister!! Randell and Zelder became Mr. and Mrs. on November 1, 1969.

ª     Zelder, what qualities did you see in Randell that made you want to marry him? He is a good man and he is very responsible.

ª     How do you keep the romance going? What are some things that you enjoy doing as a couple?  We keep the romance alive by being honest with one another. We also enjoy going to the drive in.

ª     What is your favorite part of marriage?  Making decisions together.

ª   What is the most important aspect in a marriage to make it successful? Communication!

ª   Life often throws many curveballs, and those that make it through those tough times stay together. How have you dealt with stressful times that arise? PRAYER †

ª     Marriage isn't always a cakewalk. What advice can you offer newly engaged couples when disagreements occur? Agree to disagree but do it in love.
