You're My Forever Gloria and Celso vowed to be together forever in Ft. Worth, TX on December 14, 2019 in front of loved ones and friends. *Amazing photos taken by HG Photo & Film* You're so special - more than you know and more than I show. You're my soul mate, you're my lover, you're all that I know. It's your smile and it's your eyes; it's your heart and it's your cries. I'll love you forever, even long after we die. You're my shoulder and my strength. I would die for you and go to any length. You're more than a friend and more than a wife, too. You're my forever, and forever isn't long enough for me and you. You're my friend and you're my life. You're my light and you're my wife. You're the person I need and the one who is there. I have you right now, and it doesn't seem fair. You're a beautiful soul, and I could forget you never. I just...

After the Ceremony

You have exchanged rings and vows! You are done taking wedding party pictures..now what?! Before you enter the reception hall and dance the night away take a few moments to enjoy being Husband and Wife. After all, this is the moment that you both have been waiting for! Don't worry about your guests, they will be fine without seeing you for another 10 minutes. Take some time to be alone as a couple. Once you enter the reception doors you will be swamped with conversations, hugs, kisses, pictures, toasts, and dancing. Eat!! Sounds crazy but my husband and I did not get to eat at our reception. I remember the wait staff preparing our plates...they handed them to us...we sat at our Sweetheart Table...was about to take a bite...and then guests started talking to us! LOL! At the end of the night we realized that we only had a piece of cake (the small piece that you feed each other) and a sip of Sprite during the toast. Have your wedding planner prepare small plates for you and...

Save Some Trees....Save Some Money....

Remaining within budget is the key to planning your wedding and reception! emdotzee.com   Instead of paying extra for your invitations to arrive assembled, gather your bridal party and set up an assembly line. Make this a "Girl's Nite" with snacks, drinks, and music! Stick to the basics. Forgo the colored ink and foil stamping on invitations and other printed materials. Guests are more concerned with the news of you getting married, not the color of the ink on the invitation. Printed menus on guest tables. Popular? Yes. Necessary? No. Some reception venues will create simple menus for you. Find out if your venue will provide that service. If not, create your own and find an online company that will print them for you at a reasonable price. Go to a crafts store for do-it-yourself invitation/program kits. With a computer and creativity, you can get inexpensive, one-of-a-kind results. Love the fancy look of a calligrapher? Save money by recruiting...

Looking for a Caterer? Start Here!

Image
Q: Should I hire a caterer? A: If your reception facility does not provide food, you will need to hire a caterer. Martinez Caterer The caterer will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving the food. Hiring a caterer is an investment that will save you time and money. The best part is that it will allow your family to be guests at your wedding instead of cooks and wait staff! Sample Questions to Ask Your Wedding Caterer 1.        Given the style, time, and date of my wedding, what are some menu items that you suggest? What would the cost-per-person be? 2.        Do you have any particular style of food or special menu items that you specialize in? 3.        How many other weddings will your company handle that same weekend/day/hour? 4.        Are you licensed? (this means that they have met health department standards and have l...

Western Theme Tablescape

Image
Shop with Cops, an organization where police officers take children shopping for Christmas, held a rodeo as a fundraiser. I took that opportunity to register as a vendor and set up a tablescape. What better theme to go with than Western !! This tablescape incorporated western accents (chair cap and ties, table runner, and place card holders). The color scheme revolved around brown, red, black and tan. Clients have the option of choosing from two different chair coverings (cap or tie) and two distinctly different fabrics. The cloth napkins were red and black respectively with napkin rings with a cowboy boot accent. Place cards continued the theme by adding western accents to the place card holders. With the help of the fabulous and talented Trish of Designs by Trish , a Western theme was created! We used one tablescape to create two different looks. Tablescape #1 Black Napkin with a Pretty in Pink Boot Place Card Table Setting #2 Chair Cover ...

He proposed, you've accepted...now what?

Take a deep breath, climb atop of the biggest bed you can find, and jump up and down hysterically!!! YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!! Congratulations on your engagement!! Now regain your composure and call your parents. Tell them the good news first. Then send a mass text to all of your family and friends!! The 'proper' way would be to hold an engagement party and formally announce your engagement, but let's face it...technology has changed all of the rules! So here's an idea....tell your friends and THEN have an engagement party and 'formally' announce your engagement!! I highly recommend hiring a bridal consultant and/or wedding planner (here comes the plug.... Kiss and Tell Weddings ) to help you with the logistics (date, location, theme, budget, style, etc.) of your wedding.  As your bridal consultant, I will not tell you what to do but rather listen to your wishes and desires of your dream wedding. You may walk into the consultation w...
