Many people wonder why they need to hire a wedding planner...well, I am going to give you a few reasons why. Now these reasons come from my professional experience and my experience attending events as a guest. Let's get started! Your invitation states that the ceremony will begin at 6pm. You arrive at 5:45pm, seat yourself, and wait...and wait and right as you are about to leave, the ceremony begins promptly at 6:53pm. Not only does this throw off your plans for the rest of the evening but it also interferes with the photographer's timeline, the caterer's serving time, and it rushes the rest of the events because the venue is only booked until 10pm. After waiting almost an hour to hear your friend say "I Do", you walk into the reception hall to find out that all of the seats are taken. What was the point in RSVPing?? Bride-to-Be VaRhonda asks:  "Do you have to send save-the-dates to everyone or just people that live out of town? How far in advance should we send them? VaRhonda, If you are getting married during high travel times (holidays, summers, etc) then a save-the-date card is helpful to your guests. Also, if you have military family members or family who live out of state, save-the-date cards help tremendously with planning.  Sending save-the-date cards six months prior to the ceremony will allow guests time to book travel, hotel and request leave from work.
