Many guests that attend weddings come from afar. They either have to fly long distances or drive long distances. A one of the ways that you can show your love and appreciation for attending your event is to provide Guest Bags for them! Guest Bags are really easy to create and can range in price from $15 to $100 depending on contents.
If your guests will be staying at a hotel, you can Guest Bags delivered to their rooms to be there when they arrive. You can check to see if this is a service that your wedding planner provides or you can have a family member deliver them for you.
The Guest Bags can be as simple or extravagant as you like. Items can range from a card and savory chocolates to tickets to a professional sporting event or theater or musical. Just make sure that you include Guest Bags in your overall budget!

Event information – Guests need to know what you have planned for them. Wedding weekend itineraries are a definite!
Travel magazines and brochures – Information regarding the area including restaurants, activities and coupons!
Maps and directions to any venues guests will need to be at
Bottles of water - hotels do not provide these for free and everybody needs water especially during warm weather (for colder months-add a couple packages of hot cocoa!)
Snacks – for those midnight cravings!
First aid kit...because accidents do happen!
Entertaining items – items like playing cards for adults, activity books and puzzles for kids can keep your guests entertained.

10 Best Ways to Cut Costs {according to Mindy Weiss..with my 2 cents added}
1. Trim the guest list: the fewer guests--the fewer tables--the fewer centerpieces, the fewer expenses
2. Choose a gorgeous setting: this cuts down on the cost of decorations
3. Use a reception site that is already equipped with tables, chairs, flatware, and staff: save on delivery fees
4. Start the wedding earlier in the day: an early wedding means less food...unless you and your future spouse are foodies!
5. Limit the alcoholic offerings to wine, beer, and a signature cocktail ...or skip the alcohol altogether!
6. Move the wedding from Saturday to Sunday: or possibly to a weekday. Venues are less expensive during the week.
7. Eliminate the champagne toast: guests can raise their punch, water, or tea in your honor
8. Hire a DJ instead of a band. 
9. Opt for standard sized invitations: irregular shaped invitations cost more to ship.

Class of 2018!

Congratulations to the class of 2018! I had the honor of setting up a graduation dinner for my god-daughter, Madisen, who also happens to be one of the valedictorians of her class.   Graduation day brings a roller coaster of emotions for the graduates and their families. It’s a time of celebration, achievement, anxiety, and fear of the unknown.
